Mel Dobson is a wildlife artist who works in scratchboard, watercolor, oil, acrylic and gouache. The original scratchboard drawing by Mel Dobson is dated 1971 and is one of his early drawings. This reproduction was made by etching away portions of a black anodized coating on aluminum plate. The etching was done by Woodland Etchings, Colorado Springs, Co. The etching is mounted in relief in a wood shadowbox frame with a black cork backing. The etching measures 11 inches by 9 inches and with the frame it measures 14 inches by 12 inches. This Etching is beautifully done and in excellent condition. It would be an lovely addition to any wildlife collection.
