I recently upgraded to bigger and more drive-bay NAS. I used this for about a year and just completed the upgrade. This unit is one of the latest NAS with the capability to run the new QuTS Hero OS using ZFS technology. I upgraded the memory to 32GB (new freshly taken out from my new NAS after its upgrade) so that QuTS Hero and ZFS could be implemented. This NAS has 6 drive bays with ability to add the largest drives available. I've used Seagate Exos 24TB for the total RAW capacity of 144TB. The maximum drive capacity is not particularly specified by the manufacturer, but I don't see why you shouldn't be able to use larger that 24TB drives if necessary. Please note that the NAS does NOT come with any HDD. I also installed QNAP AC-2600 WiFi card for wireless access of the NAS (cost over $200). Please ask any questions before buying. Thanks.
